Lucerne Residence is modern home designed by Daniel Marshall Architects in Orakei Basin, Auckland. Orakei Basin is one of the volcanoes in the Auckland Volcanic Field which after last eruption about 85,000 years ago became a freshwater lake. Pretty cool location for a home, right?
Besides literally sitting on a volcano, another reason I like this home is because it has style. It is elegant, minimalist, with perfect combination of darker and lighter colors. I called it "home for modern gentleman" because of that exact elegance and style this modern house has. Yeah, and that classic German car helps too, right? The house reminds me on this modern home in Venice.
Interior are gorgeous as well. Very elegant, clean decor. Open floor plan layout makes it modern, well lit and connected. Marble kitchen island gives dose of luxury and just bolds that elegance. I also love this dark modern furniture. Exterior facade is also quite unique. Everything is designed to send a message "those people have style". Do you agree?
